My name is Monogamy.....

As of January 3rd I have been a monogamous knitter & lets just say monogamy is not for me at all lol. I did cast on the sock yarn blanket on New Years but I decided to do an Entrelac pattern instead of just plain stockinette knitting. I think it will keep me interested. Plus I really love the look of Entrelac. The blanket had been put aside when I had a chance to help an awesome friend over on Plurk out. MissKatPegasus who is the Owner/Dyer of Great Lakes Hand Dyed  is having a trunk show & asked if anyone could knit up samples for her & I jumped at the chance to try some new to me yarn.

She needed them by the 20th of Jan so a little under 3 weeks to knit a pair of socks. Now anyone who has been reading this blog knows it takes me about a month to crank out some socks lol but I jumped in on Jan 3rd when the yarn arrived & I am happy to say that I am on foot of the socks as we speak.  I will add in a picture of the last time I took a picture which is only of the leg portion I haven't stopped long enough to take current pic. I love this yarn its so soft and springy. I will try & capture the colors better in the next photo I take.

Once I am done with those I am going to cast on everything in the world polygamy here I come lol. But I did finish something awesome & epic well awesome & epic to me anyways but nonetheless it is DONE !!!!! Let me just say how much I loved the finished product of this knit. This will be one item I am not giving away for a couple of reasons. 1. The yarn for this was yarn I got for my birthday last year from my friend Susan & 2. Because its beautiful. Ladies & Gents I give you Daybreak by Stephen West knit with Dream & Color Smooshy in colorways of Gray Tabby & Amethyst Ink.

As much as I love the end result I am going to be honest there were time while knitting this I wanted to shin kick Mr. West. The M1L & M1R were driving me crazy but it was worth it. Call me a glutton for punishment because I know he uses those increases alot in his pattern & as much as it drove me crazy I have a quite of few of his patterns lined up in my Ravelry queue (side tangent here my Queue is down to 2 pages from 4 I decided once a month I am gong to go in and clean it out. I have a tendency to say ohh pretty add to Queue then go back later & say omg wth was I thinking.) along with some that I already own so you will be seeing more of Mr. West in the future.

Also up next on the needles is a hat I have been promising (hey it's still Winter outside). A mug cozy for a swap I am in. Start looking for idea for this crafty in 2013 handmade challenge thing. I will explain more when I get to it.
